There's plenty of Garbage, but perhaps less so than stock Ubuntu or Fedora.
Its also Debian so you're unfortunately likely to be fairly behind the current patchlevel thats required for a maintained/modern OS. Not that Debian is bad, but its often woefully behind. Not that long ago I discovered how hard it was to get CentOS up to spec on "the new stuff", it was rather frustrating as well.
