After reviewing the official Spotify terms you referenced, I’m not quite sure what types of apps would be permitted at all? Sort of off-putting on Spotify’s part. The terms are so restrictive it makes one wonder why they would even offer the platform in the first place.
Edit: I’ve previously thought about some personal projects that utilize Spotify api/data, specifically to perform some exploratory data analysis of user-listening-history, but after seeing these terms, it seems like even that would be against the terms.
Yeah it's really annoying, and even if your app is oerfectly fine apparently their process for getting it unlocked from the limited developer mode takes an unholy amount of time.
