Optimus Navigating Around [video] (youtube.com)

Posted because I thought it was interesting to see autonomous behavior that looks identical to the movements we saw at the recent Tesla demo and were claimed to be done by human operators. Maybe both are true, but the movements look really really similar to me.

Unfortunately, it may be that the robots in the video are also remote controlled. Why take Musk's word that they're autonomous? Once you know that Musk can and will lie and cheat, it kind of makes you skeptical.

Are you saying the hundreds of people at Tesla working on this are also liars?

Lying is part of the company culture at Tesla.

For example, Tesla lied about the Cybertruck towing a Porsche over a quarter mile. It's a dumb thing to lie about, there was absolutely no need to lie about it, and yet Tesla went ahead and lied:

Tesla never ran that quarter mile. And the worst thing about it was the Cybertruck's lead engineer trying to rationalize the lie:

When your engineers lack commitment to basic honesty then you've got a sick company culture.

You can't take anything Musk or Tesla says at face value.
