6 to 3 is such a different story than 5 to 4. The lopsidedness & wanton disregard, the judicial activism been off the charts.
> So It’s not imperial when it’s the other way around?
The only example of a progressive court in working memory (for the 25% or whatever who are old enough to be alive for it) was the Warren Court, which ended in 1969. It's been conservative since. So we have no modern data to tell.
So we dont know if those of progressive persuation would similarly show a lack of respect & decorum, be as willing to rampantly destabilize the checks & balances (as this article illustrates) to serve their biases & rewrite our government. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_Court
Personally I highly doubt the liberal elite would take anywhere near such advantage. I think they value the rule of law in very real ways, ways that seem absent in the current court.
Rather than try to dissemble & distract, I'd like to see some actual responsible adults on the conservative side step up & wrangle with & talk about this problem. Progressives tend to be pretty fractured folk, and have plenty of internal criticism & wish our side could do better. Can we get some similar real candor or at least real argumentation from the other side? I think democracy deserves better than this form of reply.
