Pretty slow, but I wonder if you could optimise a floppy RAID setup by pairing it with an NVMe cache. Please someone try this, I find the concept absurdly funny.

Yeah my comment was mostly tongue-in-cheek. USB floppies don't need a floppy driver anyway, and a NEC 765 controller probably supports only a few drives. It probably can't even access floppies simulatenously.
