I was thinking the same thing, but the other aspect is that YC is not a baby-sitter. They have 100 companies in a batch. If you're attending the meetings but not taking the advice, they'll probably write you off fairly quickly as the chances of success are low and they can focus on helping those who are leveraging the knowledge and experience.
