How is the RPA integrating with the data from this processes? Does it rely on accessibility APIs (good luck with that for more specialized software)?

I think the "strength" of RPA is creating GUI-based automations and then laying programming interfaces (web-based or otherwise) on top of them.

It's still hogwash.
