In terms of needing to eat and pay rent, iPhone App developers are still in demand. Why don't you pick up some contract work, take a percentage up front and the rest on completion of the app, and continue trying to make headway with Apple on the side?

While I like the app and what you're trying to do, just a heads up that you're going to come across as super shady by automatically following the @glu Twitter account when you have users login with their Twitter credentials. The problem is that you're not making it clear up front that by logging in, you're going to be adding a follower to their Twitter account, which will be interpreted as a violation of their privacy, and will almost certainly cause a backlash at some point.

I understand that in order for your app to work, the user has to be following the @glu account, but automatically opt-ing someone in is not the right way to do it. You need to update the content and design to make it painfully clear to anyone logging into your site that they are also consenting to following the @glu account.

You're right, I'll change the language to reflect this. Thanks for the feedback.

Just keep in mind that while a lot of artists are able to create some great looking designs, many are not versed in human cognition and user interface design concepts. You may end up with a great looking interface which is largely unusable, or at least irritating to use on a regular basis. If you're going to go down this route, make sure that someone on your team has a good grasp on UI/UX basics in order to vet the designs that are proposed and suggest changes as needed.

#11 the difference between "upload" and "download".

Aren't you supposed to be on a plane?

I'm multi-talented.

If being in two places at once is merely being 'multi-talented' then I think I'm going to have a little lie down now.

It's a new app. Our startup is called Simpletastic Inc. and created both Anyvite and now Tweetvite.

That's a fair comment. The domain name (as much as some of you are going to hate it since it follows the whole twit, tweet, etc. nomenclature) is a pretty good one. The interface is entirely different if you compare the two side by side, so yeah, it's possible that there might be confusion, but we've done everything that we could to differentiate there.

Uhm, the community votes on whether the submission is good or not. Who cares who submits it?

I can't vote down. I'm not a fan of the zero-substance "look at me" approach. Other people are (which is why the "look at me" approach exists), but it's unfair to say the community decides on whether the submission is worthwhile.

I thought the exact same thing actually.
