Ozzy has bitten the head of a bat because it was thrown on to the stage by an fan and he was expecting it to be a fake, rubber, bat. As far as I know he has not intentionally hurt an animal.

I use a similar method, but implemented in iOS reminders. I have different lists for the different categories. And now with a smart list I have created a category/list "this week" that lists actionable items with a due date within the next 7-days. [1] This is loosely based on GTD [2]

Cycling… says the corn syrup addicted American

they probably would!

Children as defined by Apple differs per legal region, for the US it is set to 13 years or younger. Also, your parents need to have added your account to the iCloud family for the feature to work.

Because it’s a nice and fast browser for someone in the Apple ecosystem. To me personally I really like the synchronization of my history, bookmarks and reading-list between all my Apple devices.

But if you pin them on the taskbar you can launch them with win + x in the order you have pinned them. I’m assuming that’s why the other person asked.

I didn't know this was possible, thanks!

shift-win-# opens a new instance/window of an app that is already open, and alt-win-# closes that app (which can be sorta weird with multiple windows of an app open.)

And if the application is already running you can use the hotkey to bring that window into focus.

Well TIL, thanks.

Usually the government is pretty good at clearing the snow and ice. Small roads you have to cycle carefully. I have slipped and fallen on icy roads numerous times when I was younger, just part of the cycling deal is what I always thought.

Explain to me please why we, the Dutch, are an alienated society? We, just like most, still have to help our friends and family, move furniture and so on. Most families still own a car for this purpose, but a lot of the day to day activities can be done without a car. Saving the environment and your wallet.

Edit: spelling

It's the general level of brashness and inconsideration that astounds people from other nationalities. Silly offensive jokes expressed in the loudest way possible, not caring about the reaction of others, etc. These things lead to alienation naturally.

Anecdata: a group of 10-12 Dutch tourists have gathered on a central table in a dinner bar, all laughing as loud as possible without ever considering a mom with a sleeping baby a few meters from them. The mom tries to make facial expressions of discontent, no one gets it or no one considers it some kind of a sign.

Don't take a baby to a dinner bar then? Or just stand up and talk to the people, ask them to be a bit less noisyer. How would they know otherwise?

Strange that they switch to a lower bit-rate on the Mac for you. I use mine all the time with my MacBook, only when an application starts using the mic will it downgrade to a lower bit-rate. Do you have any software running that continuously claims the microphone?
