Hi, the app is completely free. The pricing model is from the old iPad app, but cannot be removed from the app store listing (Apple doesn't allow it).
If a pricing plan is introduced later it will be for future features (which might cost a bit to run the infrastructure). All current features will remain free.
I actually do not understand why BambuLab gets so much hate. It seems previously people complained about the privacy but I gave their privacy policy a read and it seems quite explicit about how they only use the data for improvements. As makers surely we can appreciate that data is required to make improvements from a B2C product, especially when dealing with hardware with so many refinement parameters
Very cool. I think you should provide users the ability to generate a few svgs in the free tier so they can get a feeling for its capabilities before upgrading to such a steep monthly plan
The big differentiator is how micro do you go. My rule of thumb is split by scaling requirements (and hardware requirements if you have them). For example splitting off your general business API from your TURN servers/service since the TURN should be scaled by connections and throughput plus possibly requires a higher network bandwidth.
