This is a great illusion, though I often see that people try to explain this (and a similar image of strawberries) as "our brain knows this object is supposed to be red so it fills in red", which is not what's happening - it's based on color contrast like many other optical illusions

> The correct solution is the spam button. Always

The correct solution is filing complaints with your country's relevant authority

In theory. In practice-- I would spend all my time just filing complaints, because today, in 2026, I get more spam from "legitimate" companies than "Nigerian scammer" types

I wish I could without going through a long process involving tons of personal info

At least in the last video it seems like he used both PCBWay and JLCPCB for manufacturing

Yep! The choice of JLCPCB after having used PCBWay is what inspired the question.

Love your channel! Do you have any plans to eventually open source your projects? (Both in terms of hardware and software)

To be honest, all of the hardware and software is really poorly documented. But I guess i coudl still publish it as is

Yes, would be still great! I'm sure a lot of people would have fun playing around with it even without the documentation

I'm personally especially interested in 'Latent Reflection'. I've tried to make something similar never got to a point where I was happy with the output the AI model gave me.

Lots of tuning to get the model to not immediatly spiral into nonsense. But small models are getting better by the minute, maybe i'll revisit it with a better model and share all the code

This option is pretty unreadable on mobile though

Is it? Just tried it in Safari, Firefox and Chrome on a iPhone 12 Mini and I can read all the text? Obviously it isn't formatted, as it's raw markdown, just like what parent's recommended 3rd party platform does, but nothing is cut off or missing for me.

Actually, trying to load that previous platform on my phone makes it worse for readability, seems there is ~10% less width and not as efficient use of vertical space. Together with both being unformatted markdown, I think the raw GitHub URL seems to render better on mobile, at least small ones like my mini.

Keep in mind that many people also contribute to big open source projects just because they believe it will look good ok their CV/GitHub and help them get a job. They don't care about helping anyone, they just want to write "contributed to Ghostty" in their application.

I think this falls under the "have no shame" comment that they made

It's worse. Some of them are required to contribute to an existing project of their choice for some course they're taking.

From my experience, it's not about helping anyone or CV building. I just ran into a bug or a missing feature that is blocking me.

Until vibecoding agents somehow develop the capability to sign up for a cloud storage API and pay for it on their own, you can probably be pretty sure about that.

An exfiltrator would have a blind upload box sitting somewhere the poisoned prompt knows about

..so they would pay so the see the blog post a little earlier thna you do? Math doesn't work out on this

Not sure what you mean by "looks to be by"? Their GitHub is linked at the bottom of the page

I feel like "jpeg" has generally become a shorthand for "low quality compressed digital picture"

In the photography world it's shorthand for "photo unedited straight from the camera". Popular with Fujifilm cameras especially due to their 'film simulation' modes which apply basically a filter to the image.

Not really? Unedited would be some sort of raw. JPEG usually implies preprocessed by the camera

I guess I meant unedited by the photographer manually (e.g. using Lightroom etc.)

Either that or a photo that has been edited from a RAW and is a final version to be posted online.

I feel like you need to find better places on the internet. It's no longer 1997 downloading from dial up.

What makes jpeg compression bad isn’t low bandwidth. It’s really good at compressing an image for that.

What makes jpeg bad is that the compression artifacts multiply when a jpeg gets screen captured and then re-encoded as a jpeg, or automatically resized and recompressed by a social media platform. And that definitely isn’t a problem that has gone away since dialup, people do that more than ever.

I'm not saying it's true, I obviously understand that not all jpegs are low quality and over compressed. That's just how the word is generally used by people, especially those outside of tech who aren't well versed in different image formats.

"diJital PEGchure"

Is it pronounced jay-peg or gee-peg?

Nah, that's WEBP, the most hated file format.

Kvaesito is a great search-focused FOSS launcher

This is also what I migrated to a while back.

It's quite different compared to Nova and other launchers but after using it a while I've come to love it. Do yourself a favor and give it a few days before you dismiss it.
