Very resource constrained systems, systems where consistent admin between *BSD and Linux is important. Containers where you have reasons to break the single process practice.

For me https://github.com/AsahiLinux/linux/tree/fairydust installed and worked without any tweeks. Don't think you can direct funding, but https://opencollective.com/asahilinux contributes to getting this fully officially supported.

No idea what the fairydust kernel is.

For more context, I gooled around and found this Phoronix article: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Asahi-Linux-EOY-2025-CCC

> On the display side, Asahi Linux developers have been working on the DisplayPort connectivity. For that there are now experimental DisplayPort patches for Asahi Linux via their "fairydust" tree.

That's great news!

Yes, the test branch works fine for me, should be officially supported soon.

That's cool!

It is the server that you connect to that is covered by this amendment; they don't care how you connect.

Are they trying to imply other city builders (or any game ever) are accurate? I want my Microwave Power Plant!

The is a huge difference between: I assume my crappy router's firewall works and is configured safe by default. And I assume my crappy router's doesn't forward ports by default.

That seems very optimistic, a team that can ship with two would probably be 10x as fast on average.

Of all the valid complaints about Github Actions or CI in general, this seems to be an odd one. No details about what was tried or not tried, but hard to see a `-run: go install cuelang.org/go/cmd/cue@latest` step not working?

Whilst I can not see a motivation I refuse to accept that parking machines are not advisarial design. Why do they have haf a dozen things that look a bit like tap n pay if they are not trying to make it eaiser for card skimmers.

It you bought anything except RAM, a laptop refusing to use 12% for no obvious reason would be note worthy.
